What is Acronet Paradigm?

ACRONET Paradigm is a new model for the design, implementation and installation of Environmental Monitoring and Control Systems.

The project is led by CIMA Research Foundation, with the goal of increasing, globally, environmental monitoring. This is necessary to better understand all natural processes, which impact human activities; the ultimate goal, in fact, is to safeguard and improve the conditions of human life.

In order to be able to achieve these goals, it is important to be able to maintain a low cost of solutions, without affecting high professional standards and precise and accurate measurements.

ACRONET Paradigm is released in OPEN HARDWARE mode: meaning that all the design schematics for making an ACRONET Station are released freely, without being copyrighted. For each Station, the firmware, the basic software mounted on the board, is also released in Open Source mode.

This allows for continuous implementation, resulting in part from the contribution of an international community of specialists. It also means that all activities related to the System are untethered from the manufacturer.

New developments

Due to its openness and modularity features, ACRONET Paradigm is an ever-evolving project.

With a detailed analysis of solutions available in the market, we are always trying to improve and renew our configurations. We continuously investigate energy, communications, new protocols, sensors and packaging.
